GROWTH CENTRE – A CATALYST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY OF PHL
This is a project in Manila, the Philippines. It aims to solve an handful of the problems which the city is facing.

The housing crisis (due to rapid urbanization), mainly for the less fortunate, is the first problem. There are governmental bodies, such as the NHA, who are dealing with the issue on a daily basis. To provide them with new, rapid innovation methods, this building houses a new sub-department for them. Their new Department of innovative construction methods can experiment here, develop and gain from the synergy in the building.

There is a Fabrication Lab in the building, for NHA to use together with Start-Ups and all of the Manila architecture school. This creative hub aims to benefit all users and create links between them.

The building aims to provide work for the inhabitants of the city and raw material for the FabLab as well, through a Recycling Center. This center is the stomach of the building.

To showcase innovation, the building isn't only transparent to invite the curious glance from passerby's. It also aims to show an innovative method of making the building resistant to earthquakes.

The complex is positioned in the less fortunate area of Panghulo, where it hopes to revitalize the area and bring people from all around the city.
